About the role
We are seeking a qualified Carpenter that has experience in residential constructions, a willing attitude, attention to detail, excellent punctuality and be able to work within a team.
You will be working on luxury residential renovations, extensions and additions and assist the site foreman as well as work alongside our apprentices. Our work ranges from house and apartment renovations to large detailed timber decks. We expect a high level of detail and quality craftsmanship as our reputation has been built on a commitment to delivering the highest quality.
Experience
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Erect and install all wooden framework, structures and fittings, including roof structures
- Install wooden flooring to a high quality, to include levelling, sub-flooring construction
- Install decking and outdoor fixtures and fittings
- Read plans and set out projects
- Install internal and external cladding and finishing
- Install windows and doors
- First and Second Fix
- Excellent punctuality, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to accurately read and interpret construction plans
- Excellent problem solving and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Formal qualification or at least 2 years post apprenticeship experience
- Experience in residential environment
- Carpentry trade certificate
- Completed or currently studying Certificate IV in Building and Construction desirable
- White Card
- Valid Drivers Licence
- A strong work ethic
